Acoustic semblance
Sound plays a very important role in life. Imagine a life without any sound around us. Or simply life in space. Sound is also very important for identifying objects around you. Everything around us has a distinct sound and that sound becomes the identity of that object or being. If someone says the word ‘Dog’ what comes to one's mind. It’s the image of the dog that the mind of the second person instantly makes. But what if you walking along a street and you hear a dog barking? Your mind will again make an image of a dog and no other animal. probably you could even guess if the dog is in a good mood or in a bad one by merely listening to that sound. This is the power of semiotics.Where the signifier here is the sound of that dog that creates the image of that dog in our mind.
Similarly, the sounds of certain objects around us have the same impact on our minds. But what if when two or more objects sound the same? We tend to be confused and are not sure about what object it is unless we see it.
